Ewing named new Principal for A.C. Jones High School
Odem-Edroy veteran picked to lead Trojan flagship campus

The Beeville ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Ann Ewing as the new Principal for A.C. Jones High School. Ewing comes to Beeville from Odem-Edroy Independent School District where she has served as High School Principal and District Testing Coordinator since 2013. In her role at Odem-Edroy, she focused on building positive relationships with all stakeholders, providing instructional support to teachers, and improving communications with parents and the community.
“Mrs. Ewing has all the qualities we’re looking for as the new A.C. Jones Principal” explained Dr. Marc. A. Puig, Superintendent. “She has proven herself to be an effective leader and this role will be the perfect fit to support and inspire our remarkable staff and students.”
Ewing views a collaborative school environment as key components to the successful implementation of rigorous academic programs that emphasize college and career readiness for all students. She understands that partnerships with parents and community are essential to the success of our schools. “I look forward to dialoguing on how A.C. Jones High School can best serve the needs of our students and the community” stated Ewing.
Ewing holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University Kingsville in English & Special Education, and a master’s degree from Walden University in Educational Leadership. In addition to her Principal certification, Mrs. Ewing maintains current certifications in Secondary English 6-12, Secondary Generic Special Education 6-12, and English as a Second Language 6-12.
