Beeville, Texas – One in five children face food insecurity. Beeville ISD has launched a pilot program with the goal of making sure every child and teen gets a meal. The Summer Meal Program ensures children, our future leaders, have access to a consistent nutritious meal twice daily.
Child Nutrition Director said “this reduces the stress of food insecurity which is a key pillar for our child nutrition program.” The Summer Meal Program is at no cost to children and teenagers 18 years and younger. They must eat on-site.
